  • Save the Date: GMS REGATTA AND SPRINT - SUNDAY SEPT 21st. Go to www.regattacentral.com to register or mark your calendar to come and cheer from the lookout point.
  • Save the Date: Fall work party and barn clean up Saturday September 13th. Many hands make light work. A few hours after the morning rows should do it. Please email gmsrowingcenter@sbcglobal.net to volunteer.
  • Congratulations to our Junior World Championship/GMS team, back from Austria.
    Emily Eiffert and Mairi McKellop, W2x, who placed 6th in the B final;
    Kynan Reelick, M1x, who placed 3rd in the C final and to
    Kelsey Reelick, W4x, who placed 1st in the C final….. Congratulations for their outstanding performance and as representatives of the GMS team.
  • If you missed the First Giving fundraising site, and would like to contribute to the Junior World Championship Fund, you can still make a tax deductible donation. Checks should be made out to ‘OARS’ and left in the office, or given to one of the coaching staff.
    Many, many thanks so all of our loyal supporters who contributed to the athletes expenses for the trip.
  • GMS NEEDS YOU! Can you drive a launch? Can you carry oars, direct traffic, or just lend a hand for a few hours? We need volunteers for the GMS 4th Annual Regatta and Sprint. Please let us know if you can help. We will organize shifts and jobs, just like in prior years. We will set up the day before so if you are racing on Sunday, you can lend a hand on Saturday. You can let Linda know or email gmsrowingcenter@sbcglobal.net.
  • SIGNING IN AND OUT is fun for everyone… even you! It is an insurance issue, a safety issue, a courtesy issue. For those who don’t, please cooperate; for those who do,.thanks!
  • Please make sure to secure the barn doors with the fasteners on the back of the doors. The wind is ripping the doors from their hinges. If you are the last one off the water, check the log book, and lock up, closing all doors and putting slings away— This is especially important if you are last off the water at night….
  • Lactate Testing: Transition to fall racing is here! There is no time like the present to tweak your heart rate training ranges to maximize your training. Call Guenter to make an appointment or call the office. GMS PTP (Personal Training Program) coupled with lactate testing has proven results.
