Success at Regional Championships:
GMS qualifies seven out of nine entries for US Rowing National Championships

June 1, 2008

GMS Junior Rowing team broke their own record when they qualified seven boats last weekend at the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Championships held on Mercer Lake, NJ. The rowers competed for coveted spots at the U.S. Rowing Junior National Championships to be held in Cincinnati in June. The wet, cool weather didn't dampen the spirits of the GMS crews competing against approximately 800 competitors from 50 clubs and schools racing heats first, to win spots in finals, with only the top three finishers in each race advanced to the national competition.

GMS Rowing Center is proud to acknowledge all our rowers for their hard work, determination and many hours of training as well as to congratulate the winning crews!
