GMS Rowing Center’s Co-founder named as US Rowing Coach
for the Women’s (2x) Double Scull, in Lucerne

Guenter Beutter, Technical Director
and co-founder of GMS Rowing Center in New Milford, has been appointed
coach for the US Women’s World Cup 2x by US Rowing. The
regatta, held in Lucerne, Switzerland in July. Rowers Ala Piotrowski
and Jen Kaido will be living and training in New Milford while
preparing for the World Cup.
This is a major achievement for
GMS as it brings recognition and affirmation of the high level
of coaching skill that Beutter brings to the sport. In years past,
he has successfully coached national team boats for Germany which
medaled at World Championships.
This is an exciting and busy summer
season for GMS, as it is also currently hosting the US Rowing
Under-23 Men’s Lightweight Selection Camp.
