Spring, Summer & Fall
Eligibility –
All rowers must be Full or Weekend Members of GMS Rowing Center.
Program – Two
day a week programs will be organized to meet the requirements of
members who would like coached sessions. Details of additional sessions
will be posted in the Weekly Bulletin and will appear on the Web
site. Please contact GMS for details.
Content – This
program will cater to adult rowers with some previous experience.
Coaching will be available for both sweep rowers and scullers. Participants
can sign up for programs that will cover 4-week segments. These
will consist of 8 sessions providing coaching twice a week or for
12 sessions providing coaching three times a week . Coaching will
help athletes build their endurance and prepare them for races they
may wish to attend. Single scullers wishing to get private instruction
may make their own arrangements for one-on-one coaching directly
with our coaching staff.
Daily Schedule –
Morning sessions will be held at 5:30am to 7:00am twice a week on
Tuesday and Thursday mornings. (Evening sessions can be arranged
on request). Saturday sessions are at 7:00am to 8:30am. Other timings
can be arranged subject to a minimum of four or more rowers signing
up for a monthly program.
Cost – Costs
per calendar month are $240 for three times a week. This is dependant
on a minimum of six rowers signing up. If numbers are 4-6 a separate
fee structure of $300 for three times a week would apply which reduces
to $200 for those rowing twice a week.
Camps –- To help
prepare competitors and generally develop overall performance we
have included a series of Three Day Camps during the season. Click
here for details.
Racing Spring and Summer
– As mentioned earlier, participants in our Masters program

at US Masters Nationals (for 2007 this will be held at Oak Ridge,
TN). Lake Lillinonah offers rowers miles of well-protected water
and a perfect environment in which to prepare for high-level competition.
