| Novice (Masters)
Spring, Summer & Fall
Dates – This program
will begin on Monday April 7th and courses (morning and evening)
will last four weeks (eight sessions) until the end of October.
Content – Participants
can sign up for programs that will cover 4-week segments and provide
coaching two times a week. Rowers are encouraged to organize themselves
to row on a daily basis in addition to those days where coaching
is provided. Coaching will focus on preparing rowers for the Masters
Competitive / Intermediate program. Single scullers wishing to get
private instruction may make their own arrangements for one-on-one
coaching directly with our coaching staff.
Camps –- To help
prepare competitors and generally develop overall performance we
have included a series of Three Day Camps during the season. Click

Racing – Please
refer to the Race Schedule side bar. Head Races in the Fall are
the most popular for this group and typically include “The
Riverfront Recapture” race in Hartford, CT; the “Head
of the Housatonic” in Shelton CT.; GMS Regatta; and the Head
of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia. Sprint races are encouraged but
advice needs to taken from your coach.
Daily Schedule –
- Morning sessions will be held twice a week
on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:00am to 10:30am.
- Afternoon sessions will be held on Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. These courses are dependant
on sufficient numbers signing on for each session.
Cost –
- The cost per calendar month based on 4-6
rowers is $180 per month for returning members and $200 per month
for new rowers
